Parking at Aveny-T in Frederiksberg

There are close to 125 registered spaces within 250 m of Aveny-T, but they all sit in the same paid zone — so in Frederiksberg the choice is less about price and more about how quickly you find a free space, and what day you arrive. The stretch of Frederiksberg Allé outside no. 100-104 has 32 spaces about 90 m from the entrance — under a minute on foot. It is the obvious choice if you arrive in good time. Pay with Frederiksberg Municipality's parking ticket or one of the apps signposted on site — and in FreeSpot you can check the price and rules before you set off.

There are no free spaces near Aveny-T — every street space around the theatre is in the same paid zone, and the nearest free bays, on Gammel Kongevej about 350 m away, are capped at 30 minutes. Instead, timing is your cheapest lever: the paid zone runs weekdays 7am-midnight and Saturdays 7am-5pm, while Sundays and public holidays are free. A Sunday matinée costs nothing to park for, and neither does a Saturday evening. For a weekday evening performance the progressive rate stays gentle on short visits: DKK 10 for the first hour, 25 for two and 46 for three.

If you would rather be sure of a space than hunt for one, Pile Allé 14 is the nearest off-street car park: 80 spaces run by APCOA, about 385 m from the theatre and roughly a five-minute walk down Pile Allé. The rate is flat — DKK 22 an hour — and the difference is worth knowing: for a short visit the street is cheaper (DKK 10 for the first hour against 22), while the car park spares you circling the block as curtain-up approaches. You are paying for a guaranteed space, not a saving. For something larger, Falkoner Allé 21 at Frederiksberg Centret has 450 spaces and is open around the clock, with one free hour per day via the FRB.C app — but it is about 773 m away, a ten-minute walk, and the maximum vehicle height is 2.10 m.

Aveny-T Teater is one of Frederiksberg's landmark theatres, on Frederiksberg Allé between Sankt Thomas Plads and Frederiksberg Runddel. It stages both its own productions and visiting shows, and audiences mostly arrive for evening performances — exactly when the paid zone is about to close or has already closed. The area is densely built, so parking on Frederiksberg Allé is shared with residents; for a sold-out performance the side streets are usually a better bet than the avenue itself.
