Service fee for in-app payment

When you pay for parking via FreeSpot, a service fee of 15% (minimum DKK 4) is added. The service fee is FreeSpot's charge for the app service and is the same in every city. You always see the full amount in the app before you pay.

The parking price itself

The price for the parking itself is set by the relevant parking operator or municipality — not by FreeSpot. The applicable price is shown in the app before you pay.

Municipal parking (Copenhagen)

The full parking amount is passed on undiminished to the City of Copenhagen. FreeSpot's service fee is separate and is FreeSpot's charge for the app service. When you pay for parking in Copenhagen via FreeSpot, the following also applies:

• The payment agreement is solely between you and FreeSpot.
• Any errors by FreeSpot cannot be asserted against the City of Copenhagen.
• Network or system outages do not exempt you from paying for parking.
• If the transfer of your parking to the municipality's system (PRS) fails, it is FreeSpot's responsibility — but you risk a fine until the data is registered. Contact us and we'll help.
• FreeSpot does not use the City of Copenhagen's name or logo without written consent.
• Parking wardens check your parking online via the municipality's system (PRS) using handheld terminals.

Payment

Payments are handled by Nets or Vipps MobilePay, depending on the selected payment solution. The available payment methods are shown in the app. FreeSpot does not store full card numbers. Instead, we use references to your card or payment agreement held by the payment provider.
