Parking at Royal Arena in Copenhagen
Parking at Royal Arena is easier than at most Copenhagen concert venues: the arena sits in Ørestad, a district built around large car parks rather than street bays. Within 450 m of the entrance there are more than 900 registered spaces at between DKK 15 and 24 an hour. Royal Arena parking — how to choose
Royal Arena holds up to 16,000 people, and they all arrive within the same half hour. Price is rarely what decides it — capacity and the drive out are. We have split the recommendations three ways: closest, cheapest and guaranteed space. Closest: a two-minute walk

Hannemanns Allé 21 is the nearest car park with a stated price — 50 spaces about 190 m from the entrance at DKK 15 an hour, which is also the lowest hourly rate in the area. The drawback is size: 50 spaces disappear fast before a sold-out show. If you are arriving late, Hannemanns Allé 46 is the better bet — 134 spaces, open around the clock, and capped at DKK 150 a day, the lowest daily cap near the arena.

The cheapest option at Royal Arena is not the nearest one but Field's underground car park, eight minutes away: the first hour is free and there are 3,000 spaces, so it does not run out. Check the closing time first, though: it shuts at 1am. For an evening concert that overruns, that is a real risk of leaving your car behind a closed gate until morning. If you need to be sure of a space — and sure you can leave when you want — Hannemanns Allé 50 is the right call. By og Havn's car park has 560 spaces, the largest near the arena, about 440 m away. It costs DKK 24 an hour capped at DKK 170 a day, the dearest hourly rate of the four, but with the best odds of an actual free space when 16,000 people arrive at once. You are paying for a guaranteed space, not a saving.
About Royal Arena
Royal Arena stands on Hannemanns Allé in Ørestad Syd and is Denmark's largest indoor arena, holding around 16,000 for concerts and up to 12,500 for sport. It opened in 2017 and hosts international concerts, handball, ice hockey and e-sports. Ørestad was planned around the metro, so the district has relatively few street bays but many large car parks — which is why parking at Royal Arena is about picking the right car park rather than hunting for a kerbside space. The nearest metro station is Ørestad, a few minutes from the entrance.
