Parking at the Glyptotek in Copenhagen

The nearest car park is Q-Park Christiansborggade 2, about 305 m from the museum — a four-minute walk. It costs DKK 44 an hour and is open around the clock every day. The catch is size: just 16 spaces. That is really too small to plan around, so treat it as something to check on the way rather than your primary target.

Almost DKK 20 an hour cheaper than the dearest car park, for one extra minute on foot.
Kalvebod Brygge 3-5 is the cheapest in the area by a clear margin: DKK 35 an hour against DKK 54 at Industriens Hus, capped at DKK 350 a day. It has 200 spaces and sits about 420 m from the Glyptotek — a five-minute walk along the harbour. For a two-hour museum visit that is DKK 70 against DKK 108, nearly DKK 40 saved for one extra minute on foot. It is comfortably the best arithmetic in the area.

Q-Park Industriens Hus at H.C. Andersens Boulevard 18 is the one you can count on: 131 spaces, open around the clock, on the same boulevard as the museum, about 350 m away. It costs DKK 54 an hour — the highest in the area — capped at DKK 400 a day. In return it is large enough that there is almost always room, even on a Saturday afternoon when Tivoli and Rådhuspladsen are both pulling traffic. You are paying for a guaranteed space, not a saving.
About the Glyptotek
The Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek on Dantes Plads was founded by brewer Carl Jacobsen and opened in 1897. It holds his collection of ancient Mediterranean art — Egyptian, Greek, Etruscan and Roman — alongside Danish and French nineteenth-century art, including one of the largest Rodin collections outside France. The Winter Garden under its glass dome is the building's centrepiece. The museum sits between Tivoli, Rådhuspladsen and H.C. Andersens Boulevard, one of Copenhagen's busiest junctions, which is why parking at the Glyptotek always means a car park a couple of hundred metres away.
