If you visit Copenhagen by car, the parking signs are in Danish. FreeSpot already worked in English, and now German and Swedish visitors can use it in their own language too.
From the map to the receipt
The translation covers the whole app: the map and menus, prices and parking information, the payment and the receipt. Prices and dates are written the way your language writes them, so a German phone shows 90,00 DKK and an English one DKK 90.00.
Names that come from the municipalities' own data, such as the names of the zones, are still in Danish.
A new guide to paying
The app has a new step-by-step guide to paying for parking, with screenshots of the app in your language. It walks through the four steps: choose your spot, choose how long, start parking, and extend or stop.

Choosing the language
FreeSpot uses your phone's language if it is English, Danish, German or Swedish. On a phone set to any other language, the app opens in English. You can switch at any time under "Language" in the app menu.
Paying for parking
FreeSpot can be used to pay on the City of Copenhagen's paid parking spaces and on municipal paid parking in Aalborg. Sign in with Google, Apple or email and pay with Visa, Mastercard, Dankort or MobilePay; you do not need a Danish ID or phone number. The map also covers Aarhus and Frederiksberg, where you cannot pay in the app yet.
The update is out now on the App Store and Google Play.
